AT&T didn’t share details on when they plan to launch the SONY Ericsson XPERIA Play or how much they will be charging for it, but we do know that it will run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and will come in “Stealth Blue” and standard black. AT&T’s  XPERIA Play is said to be compatible with the carriers  21Mbps HSPA+ 4G network and will of course feature the same 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor and 4-inch display found on the European and Verizon versions of the phone.

From what we can tell, Verizon hasn’t had too much success with the XPERIA Play so far. We’re guessing SONY Ericsson simply wants to get as much exposure as possible for the phone before the holidays.

Have any of you considered purchasing the SONY Ericsson XPERIA Play?
